Bill is a seasoned owner, operator, and financier of commercial real estate. With over 30 years of experience, he has successfully built and guided multi-billion debt and equity portfolios for stable and predictable returns. His areas of expertise include portfolio strategy, management, investment, finance, and workouts. His experience includes the U.S., Canada & Asia.

Prior to affiliating with Langdon Partners Limited, Bill was the Global Head of Real Estate at Manulife Investment Management & John Hancock. There he oversaw and managed over $50B of commercial real estate and mortgages on behalf the company and third-party investors.

Bill was a part of the Company’s Global Leadership Team and a member of several internal committees, as well as a Board member of many externally sponsored investment products, including but not limited to: US & Canadian Real Estate Funds; a Mortgage REIT; and Capital LP Funds. 

Bill was a member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council and a past-Chairperson of its Portfolio Lenders Forum. He also served as a past Board of Director & Vice Chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association Commercial Board of Governors) and was a member of the Urban Land Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers.

He is active in many causes but most notably supports both the National Braille Press and the Perkins School for the Blind. Bill is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BBA in Accountancy from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
